Rice moth, Corcyra Cephalonia stainton (Lepidoptera: Pyralidae; Galleriinae) is a serious pest of stored paddy and other cereals. It nourishes well in humid climates and also attacks wheat. Maize, sorghum, barley, millets, soybean and oilseeds like groundnuts. Its harm reaches a very unpleasant level in subtropical countries like India. The larva stage is mainly responsible for the damage.  Young larva feeds on the broken grain or on the grains which already damaged by other insects
